Summer 2016 in the Arctic

IR 422 is a 4-unit Problems without Passports course taught by Steven Lamy that explores the complex issues surrounding climate change and its impact on the Arctic region through one week of class study and three weeks of field work in Iceland, Norway, and Finland. Students will interview policy experts from a variety of fields to address the territorial, economic and environmental problems that have arisen from recent Arctic developments and create policy recommendations of their own. Open to all majors!
