Job Duties/Responsibilities:
The constituent Engagement Assistant performs varied administrative and general office duties for the Advancement unit of the USC Shoah foundation. This position primarily reports to and serves the Director of Donor Relations and Assistant to the Executive Director for Development.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Communications Management – mail merges, mailings, other correspondence, etc.
  • Research of donor/prospect contact information and background
  • Developing and managing reports, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Data management – data integrity management, accuracy in record keeping, documentation of correspondence and other activities, etc.
  • Organization, filing
  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive materials or information
  • May be required to help support other entities in Dornsife Advancement
  • Other assignments as needed

Qualifications

  • Professionalism – tactfully represent the department and university at all times
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize projects with sensitivity to deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to perform Mail Merges via Microsoft Word
  • Ability to perform tedious and repetitive activities for extended periods of time
  • Familiarity with basic office equipment (computer/laptop, phones, fax, printer, copier, scanner, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and editing ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Juniors, Seniors or Graduate Students
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Access
  • Data management experience
  • Previous work experience in an office setting
