Truman Scholarship Program

The Truman Scholarship is a competitive and prestigious program for individuals pursuing careers in government, the nonprofit or advocacy sectors, education or elsewhere in public service. The competition is open to current juniors who have excellent academic records, a demonstrated commitment to public and community service, and a clear potential for leadership. Students must be current U.S. citizens or receive their citizenship by the date the scholarship will be awarded.     

The Truman Scholarship program selects approximately 65 students during their junior year, and provides financial support for graduate study and leadership training. USC may nominate up to four scholars for the national competition.
