Summer Opportunity for Premeds: 2012 Stanford

The Stanford School of Medicine is pleased to announce that the application for the 2012 Summer Health Careers Opportunity Program is now open. HCOP is a six-week academically rigorous residential experience that exposes participants to the field of medicine through research, scholarship, and community. Participants receive advising during and beyond the program to help them prepare for the medical school application process.
Ideal applicants are college sophomores and juniors who:
- Are considering careers in medicine;
- Plan to serve in the Bay Area as physicians;
- Are US citizens or permanent residents (green card) of the US;
- Have experienced academic or economic barriers to pursuing postsecondary education or a career in medicine.
